Cancellation Policy

Last Updated: 7 July 2026

You can cancel a project or recurring service with Sparq IT Services at any time. This policy explains how to do it, what notice applies, and what happens to your deliverables and data afterwards.

1. How to Cancel

To cancel, email [email protected] from the address associated with your engagement, with the subject line “Cancellation Request” and your project or account reference. A cancellation is effective from the date we receive and acknowledge your written request.

2. One-Off Projects

You may cancel a fixed-scope project at any stage. You remain responsible for work completed and costs committed up to the effective cancellation date. On settlement of any outstanding balance for work already performed, we will hand over the completed deliverables in their then-current state. Refunds of any prepaid, unearned amounts are handled under our Refund Policy.

3. Subscriptions, Retainers & Maintenance Plans

Recurring services renew automatically at the start of each billing period unless cancelled. To avoid the next charge, please cancel at least 7 days before your renewal date. When you cancel:

  • Your service continues until the end of the current paid period.
  • You will not be billed for any period after the current one.
  • Fees already paid for the current period are non-refundable, as capacity has been reserved.

4. Pausing Instead of Cancelling

If you simply need a break, you can request a pause rather than a full cancellation. Paused engagements retain your project state and priority slot for an agreed period. Availability of the same team and timeline on resumption is subject to capacity at that time.

5. Cancellation by Us

We may cancel or suspend an engagement if invoices remain unpaid beyond agreed terms, if requested work falls outside what we can lawfully or ethically deliver, or in the event of abusive conduct. Where we cancel for reasons other than a breach on your part, you will only be charged for work delivered up to that point.

6. Handover & Your Data

After cancellation and settlement of any dues, we will provide the completed deliverables and, on request, transfer accounts, code or assets that belong to you. You may request deletion of your personal data at any time via our Data Deletion process. We may retain limited records where required for tax, accounting or legal compliance.

7. Governing Terms

Where a signed proposal, statement of work or agreement specifies different notice or cancellation terms for a particular engagement, those specific terms will prevail. This policy is issued by Sparq IT Services and is governed by the laws of India. Registered-entity details are available on our Business Information page.
